Busteni ski resort is located in the Prahova Valley, at the foot of Caraiman Mountains. The resort has a reputation for some extreme skiing as well as the usual cruising slopes. Busteni has two cable cars to Babele and Pestera. Project Omu includes 3 ski gondolas, 5 ski lifts and 2 ski chairs. Buºteni deserves to be better known outside Romania.

Sinaia is one of the most important resorts of the country, providing great conditions for holidays and treatment, in all seasons. It has a sub-alpine climate with cool summers (July average temperature 16°C) and winters that are not too cold (January average temperature -4°C). The annual average temperature is of about 6°C. Winter season starts on December and last until the end of March.

Predeal - Situated on SE central Romania (Brasov county) between the rivers Prahova and Timis, in the Predeal pass, at the NE foot of the Bucegi Mountains (Southern Carpathians) 1,110 m altitude, 25 km S of the municipality of Brasov and 147 km N-NW of the country's capital (Bucharest). Numerous opportunities for winter sports and trips to the nearby chalets in the mountains or to the cabins farther away on the crests of the Bucegi. Great apres ski offers.

Near the border between Alba and Bihor county, the small village of Arieseni is the starting point for the trekking and hiking for the Apuseni Mountains in Romania. White season from December to March, slopes for begginers and medium skiiers.

Muntele Mic - located in Caras-Severin county, in S-W Romania, 1525 m altitude, the resort offers 150 days of winter season from December to April.

Stâna de Vale all-season health and holiday resort (actually, a montane turistic complex), situated in west part of Romania (Bihor county), elevation 1,102 m, SE of the municipality of Oradea (seat of Bihor county). Abundant precipitation (over 1,200 mm annually) and heavy snowfalls in winter (snow layers up to 90 cm). Touristic attraction: waterfalls (Saritoarea Iedutului, Iadolina, Moara Dracului), caves (Onceasa, Cetatea Radesei, Sura Boghii, Focul Viu), the karst complex of Cetatile Ponorului(potholes, caves, lakes, etc), the Padis chalet (elevation 1,280 m).
