TAROM

Hand baggage
For your comfort and safety, restrict yourself to only one carry-on bag. The total size (length+height+width) must not exceed 115 cm and the weight should not exceed 10 kilos. For safety reasons, do not accept baggage belonging to anyone else.
Materials which can't be transported on board
For safety reasons, dangerous goods such as the ones listed on this page must not be carried in passenger's baggage:
• explosives e.g. ammunition, fireworks and flares;
• irritating or offensive materials;
• compressed gases e.g. butane, oxygen, propane;
• mercury and corrosive materials e.g. acids, alkalis, wetcell batteries;
• flammable liquids and solids e.g. acetone, lighter fuel, cleaning spirit, wax-matches, box-matches;
• magnetic material;
• poisons e.g. arsenic, cyanides, some insecticides;
• radioactive material;
• oxidizing materials e.g. bleaching - powder, nitrates, peroxides;
• it is also forbidden to be in possession of offensive weapons in the passenger cabin.
• any products of animal origin: meat, milk or any other unpreserved products.
Objects that can be transported on board
Medicinal and toilet articles in small quantities which are necessary or appropiate for the passenger during the journey, such as hair sprays, perfumes and medicines containing alcohol, may be carried without prior approval.
About customs:
When entring/leaving Romania, the following must be included in the customs declaration:
• any value higher than 10.000 $ or it's equivalent in other currency;
• guns, ammunition, explosive, radioactiveor nuclear materials;
• prescription drugs, chemical substances toxic materials;
• jewelery that exceeds the personal needs;
• more than 1 litre of alchoolic drinks;
• more than 2 carton of cigarettes (200 cigarettes);
• any personal good that exceeds the value of 175 euros;
• any art object that belongs to the state patrimony.

Carrying dangerous goods in baggage aboard an aircraft is unlawful, and violators may be subject to legal prosecution and penalties.
ransportation shouldn't be a problem when going on a trip.


Hold baggage
We recommend that you choose strong baggage that you can lock. Baggage must be name-labelled inside and outside.
1. Flights to/from Europe

40 kilos for First Class and Business Class passengers and 25 kilos for Economy Class passengers, only hand baggage. Children between 0-2 years old, charged with 10% of the applicable fare may carry free of charge a baggage of 10 kilos plus one checked fully collapsible child's stroller/pushchair.
Regardless the travel class, the pieces of luggage exceeding 32 kilos will not be accepted onboard.
2. Flights to/from U.S.A./CANADA
• First Class and Business Class: 2 pieces of baggage with their linear dimensions: (length+height+width) of each piece not exceeding 158 cm (62 inches).
• Economy Class: 2 pieces of baggage with total linear dimensions (length+height+width) not exceeding 273 cm (107 inches)
• The total linear dimensions of each piece of baggage shall not exceed 23 kilos.
• Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance or exceeding the above mentioned dimensions or weight limit may be carried at excess baggage charge.
• For infants paying 10% of the applicable fare, the baggage allowance consists of no more than one checked bag, the sum of the three dimensions not exceeding 115 cm (45 inches) plus one checked fully collapsible child's stroller/pushchair.
The following objects can't be included in the hold baggage: prescription drugs, jewelery, money, documents, perishable and/or fragile objects, other values. These objects can be kept on you permanently.

Excess baggage weight
The carriage of baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance is subject to a charge. Details concerning this charge are available at the offices of Carrier and its authorized agents.
Excess value declaration and charge
• A passenger may declare a value for checked baggage in excess of the applicable liability limits. If the passenger makes such a declaration, he shall pay the applicable charges, at rates determined by Carrier, and available on request. Excess value charges shall be payable at the point of origin for the entire journey to final destination.
• Carrier will refuse to accept an excess value declaration on checked baggage when a portion of the carriage is to be provided by another carrier which does not offer the facility
